Dr. Lam Akol SPLM-DC Chairman

(09/10/2009, SPLM-DC) SPLM-DC Secretary General Refutes False Claims by SPLM agent, the so called Anwar Mousa On the 4thh October 2009, the SPLM-DC under the chairmanship of Dr. Lam Akol Ajawin completed the Political Affairs Council requirements for the Final certificate so as to function as fully fledged political party in the Sudan and now SPLM-DC has been accorded its a place as a major political party in the Sudan which have fulfilled all the obligations for a political party by holding a Congress and having satisfied the conditions of Founding members.

However, not caring about that a so called Mr. Anwar Mousa (he was once a member of SPLM-DC when it was under conditions of Provisional operating Certificate) but through fear of democracy he
choose to go to back to old SPLM before we kicked off our Congress and now he had been talking to
some press and claiming to be SPLM-DC.

The Secretary General refutes the claim that Anwar Mousa has anything to do with SPLM DC since he went to old SPLM and thereby he was expelled from SPLM-DC during the time of our Congress. Now all his press conferences have been sponsored by SPLM and currently he resides at SPLA Soba Barracks in Khartoum. Hence, any press release and press conference by Anwar Mousa where he claims to be SPLM-DC is false and illegally and could lead to his persecution.

If he wants to form a party sponsored by SPLM and carrying party of our name then he should apply to the Political Affairs Council and try to meet the conditions of political parties registration and with that still he will have nothing to do with SPLM-DC as registered as a political party under current chairman Dr. Lam Akol Ajawin.

The SPLM-DC Secretary General calls on all media outlets to respect the ruling of the Political Affairs Council which is the body which can register and declare who is legally a political party and their decision also records who are the leaders of the registered party be it chairman or deputies or secretary general or the party's national council. Allowing illegal claims by agitators led by SPLM like Anwar Mousa to be aired may undermine the credibility of concerned media outlets.
