(18/10/2009, SPLM-DC) The Southern Political Parties held a meeting on Saturday the 17th of October 2009 to discuss the South-South Dialogue. After a serious discussion the parties resolved the following:

1. The South-South Dialogue Conference to be held as soon as possible.

2. The Conference will be held in Khartoum on the 7th of November 2009.

3. The objective of the Conference is to build a Southern consensus on the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. In particular, to discuss the following issues:
(a)- The Current Situation in Southern Sudan;
(b)- The General Elections;
(c)- The Referendum on the Self-Determination of Southern Sudan.

4. A Preparatory Committee comprising all the Southern political parties be
formed to organize the conference.

5. Membership of the Preparatory Committee is open to all the Southern political parties that would like to participate in the Conference.

6. The expected participants in the Conference are:
(a)- The Southern political parties;
(b)- Southern leaders, elders, intellectuals and activists;
(c)- Southern Sudan Civil Society Organizations.
